Role Overview

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (High Commission-Based Role)
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will be the first line of communication with our potential customers. In this role, you will primarily handle inbound leads (website inquiries, demo requests, and event follow-ups), while also conducting targeted outbound prospecting to high-potential accounts. You will engage with senior management and senior QA professionals in manufacturing organizations – our key customer base – to understand their challenges and articulate how PRIZ Guru can transform their quality and innovation processes. As an SDR, your mission is to qualify prospects and schedule deep-dive demos or meetings, thereby fueling the sales pipeline and driving top-line growth.
You should be a quick learner with excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact with seasoned industry professionals. Success in this position means you can effectively showcase our platform’s value to technical and executive audiences, bridging their needs to our solution. You will use modern sales tools – HubSpot CRM, Intercom (chat), email automation, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc. – to manage leads and outreach, ensuring no opportunity falls through the cracks. Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Lead Qualification: Monitor and promptly respond to inbound inquiries (website sign-ups, demo requests, chat messages via Intercom, etc.). Qualify these warm leads by understanding their needs and readiness, and schedule them for product demos or next-step calls.
- Outbound Prospecting: Proactively research and identify potential customers in our target market (manufacturing companies, quality/engineering departments). Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email sequences, and cold calling to initiate contact with senior QA managers and engineering leaders, sparking interest in PRIZ Guru’s offerings.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with prospects through regular follow-ups and value-driven communication. Educate potential clients on PRIZ Guru’s benefits – for example, how we help QA teams shift from reactive problem-solving to systematic innovation with lasting results. Nurture warm prospects over time until they are sales-ready.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized pipeline of leads and opportunities in HubSpot CRM. Log all interactions, track lead statuses, and ensure smooth hand-off of qualified leads to the senior sales executive or account manager. Continuously update records and follow up on time to hit weekly and monthly targets for qualified leads.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with the sales and marketing team to refine lead generation strategies. Share insights from your conversations – common pain points, objections, and product feedback – to help improve messaging and targeting. Identify best practices and contribute to the lead-generation playbook, optimizing our outreach approach.
- Meetings & Reporting: Set up meetings or demo calls between qualified prospects and our sales/technical experts. Attend team meetings and report on your progress, including metrics like the number of leads contacted, qualified opportunities, and conversion rates. Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs for outreach and lead qualification.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (Sales Development, Business Development Rep, etc.) is preferred. Experience in B2B software or technology sales is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken) is required. Able to confidently engage prospects via phone, email, and live chat. Strong active listening skills and the ability to ask the right questions are essential for understanding customer needs.
- Sales Skills: Familiarity with the sales process and lead qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT, MEDDIC) is desirable. Quick learner who can grasp technical concepts in engineering/manufacturing to effectively communicate product value. Proven ability to craft compelling outreach messages and handle objections professionally.
- Tools & Tech: Hands-on experience with CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and sales engagement tools. Comfortable using email automation platforms and LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting. Experience with Intercom or similar live chat/support tools is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and self-driven. Capable of managing multiple leads and tasks without dropping the ball. Detail-oriented in updating CRM entries and following up on schedule.
- Attitude: Positive, resilient, and goal-oriented. Thrives in a startup/fast-paced environment. Collaboration-friendly, eager to work with a small team and contribute ideas. A passion for innovation, problem-solving, or experience in the manufacturing/industrial sector is a bonus.
